2 months in...
I have had a stressful but amazing 2 months. In May, I was pink slipped at the school I was at. This is very common with brand new teachers so it was not a surprise to me and didn't hurt my feelings because of the environment I was in but left me for a stressful few months. Because of the wedding I didn't even think about being job less until afterwards. After we got back from the honeymoon I began searching and applying for any job I could. Two weeks before school started I applied for a job at Jacob's old elementary school, Madison County Elementary as an instructional assistant. It was not want I wanted but it was something in a better school. I got the job and was welcomed with open arms. The faculty is so nice and God is spoken about frequently. We pray at faculty meetings and get togethers like it is normal. I am so thankful. As school started the kids just kept coming. Especially in Kindergarten, each teacher ended up with 26 students. This is entirely too many in a k class so a new unit was formed. Every one in the school asked if I applied for it which of course I did. I interviewed two weeks later. At the end of the day that I interviewed I was offered the job! I am so thrilled to be in this school with these sweet babies!

Journey to Mrs. Boyett
When I started this blog Jacob and I had just broken up. That was over 2 years ago. We had been together for 5 years when we had broken up and Jacob was all I knew. I wanted to make sure that this was the man that I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. During those painful four months all I could think about was how Jacob would have done this and how he would have done that. With every guy I hung out with or treated me one way I couldn't help think that Jacob would have treated me better. Before we had broken up we had taken each other for granted, stopped remembering why we loved each other and why we were together. In those months that we were apart those reasons were all I could think about. Around late April a tornado was headed towards Tuscaloosa, while everyone was thinking of a safe place to go to stay safe from the storm, Jacob was thinking about me. I didn't feel well (we will go with that) and somehow Jacob knew I was at my apartment by myself and he called me and said he was coming over, even after trying to argue with him he still came. The tragedy of the April 27th tornado hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I knew some of my friends were in a place that had been hit, along with Jacob's house, so we decided to go check it out. When we got to his house everything was OK except all of the houses around it. We then tried to get to a friends house but couldn't get there. We walked around for hours, talking, crying, talking about what went wrong. and after it got dark we met back up with our friends. Jacob had ended up leaving his rain jacket at my place and one night I took it back, we stayed up very late talking. Nothing felt more right and more comfortable then we were that night. He was and is always someone that I can talk to about anything and even silence isn't awkward. Only a few days later did I realize that I wanted to go back to Jacob and work things out. Now getting him completely back was not that easy as you have read in some of my blogs but as you can also see it happened! Even though this part of our lives is not something that I look back at and smile this has made us a stronger couple and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I love Jacob Daniel Boyett and I always will!!
I say all that so you will know exactly what we went through to get to where we are. All the stress, arguments, decision making, pinteresting, and preparation was all worth it for our PERFECT day!

For our honeymoon we went on a cruise to Honduras, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. We had the best time. We went ziplining, snorkeling, laying on several beaches, and shopping. We could not have had a more relaxing trip.

4 months and counting...
More strides in the wedding planning. I am exactly 4 months and 4 days away from being married to my best friend and I couldn't be more excited! I nailed down the cake lady this week, which I was happy about because I was starting to stress about not having one yet. My mother and I also picked out all the silk flowed for the ceremony arrangements! Jacob and I nailed down all the tuxes and men's attire!
I still have several things on my to do list but they are dwindling down!

5 months and counting
I am so sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. So much is going on in my life that I haven't even thought about.
We have made so many new decisions in our wedding planning and I can't wait.
We have decided that we are cruising to Belize, the Cayman Islands and Cozumel for our honeymoon. My amazing maid of honor and bridesmaids are throwing me a shower on May 18th that I am pumped about and a bachelorette extravaganza on the weekend of June 22. I have also been talking to some cousins about a honeymoon shower also! I am so pumped for all of these festivities to begin so I can see all my wonderful friends that I miss so much! We are registered at Bed, bath and beyond, Kohls, and Belk. We have all of our locations down, hair appts made, decorations picked out, rentals booked.. Talking to a cake lasy next week to nail that down. All of the dresses but 2 have been ordered! I am so pumped!
